According to Special Events over-the-top children’s parties are on the rise. As an event planner, this is music to my ears. Children’s parties are so much fun and allow me to entertain my whimsical side. However, when it comes to the kiddie market I’m talking about way more than Sesame Street and Dora the Explorer. Parents are shelling out big bucks on Quinceaneras, Sweet Sixteens, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Since most of us are still budget conscious, my advice is to focus on one thing to splurge on that will make the event memorable for your child and their guests.
Themed parties have always been popular with kids. If your child has a favorite movie character, the planning process can be really easy. When it comes to picking a theme for your teen think about their likes and interests. If your daughter is into dancing, hire a local dance school to come and teach a few moves. Maybe your son is into robotics. You can have a robot building contest. From water bottles to dance floors, personalized decor is a big hit. This is where you can get the most bang for your buck. If you are willing to take on a few DIY projects, then a personalized table like this one can be done with very minimal cost.
If you want to make your child’s next birthday party memorable, then I suggest you start early. Create a budget and decide how you are going to spend the money. Go for the wow factor, and your little one will be the talk of the town. Comment below and share your favorite children’s party themes.
