A few months ago, I joined a group on Facebook for black mom entrepreneurs. I was skeptical at first, because so many groups that claim to be about support are really just a way for the admins to sell stuff. After being in the group just a few short weeks, I was blown away by the level of care, concern, and professionalism in the group. I was so impressed that I decided to take a more active role in the group and become the President of the East Texas Chapter of Black Mom Entrepreneurs (BME).
What is BME? Black Mom Entrepreneurs was created to ACTIVELY support black mothers who are also entrepreneurs. A safe haven where we can learn, support, share information and grow personally and professionally. Our motto is, “We are our Sisters Keeper.”
I am excited to announce that the East Texas Chapter will be holding our inaugural meeting this month. This meeting will introduce you to BME, give you information about the vision of the East Texas Chapter, and let you know how you can get involved.
